Glewstone Court is set in the rolling hills of the Wye Valley, surrounded by the kind of countryside that has been managed for field sports for generations. The estate's position makes it a natural gathering point for parties shooting the local estates and farms of Herefordshire and the Welsh Marches.
The house itself provides a warm, comfortable base that feels entirely appropriate for a shooting party — generous reception rooms, a well-stocked bar, a dining room that seats the whole party and bedrooms that are properly comfortable after a long day on the pegs.

We understand the rhythm of a shooting day. Glewstone Court is set up to make the practical side straightforward — from early departures to late returns, wet kit and muddy boots, game storage and the particular requirements of a party that has been out in all weathers.
Catering
Fed and watered from first light to last toast
A shooting day runs on good food. Our kitchen team will prepare everything your party needs — a full cooked breakfast before you leave, elevenses and a proper shoot lunch in the field if required, and a sit-down dinner in the evening to round off the day. We can accommodate dietary requirements and are happy to discuss menus in advance.
The bar is well stocked with wines, spirits and local ales. Sloe gin, warming soups and hot drinks can be arranged for the field. We will work around your day, not the other way around.

Keeping a shoot party under one roof changes the whole experience. With ten individually styled bedrooms sleeping up to 30 guests, your party can arrive the evening before, brief over dinner and be away at first light without a single logistics call in the morning.
Rooms range from the grand Gainsborough Suite with its private sitting room to the dog-friendly garden rooms — because a proper shoot party rarely travels without dogs.
